Overview
At the age of 12, Henri Parens escaped from a Holocaust concentration camp and went on to become a globally recognized psychoanalyst, dedicating his life to working towards the prevention of prejudice. With her documentary 'Zaida', his granddaughter celebrates her grandfather's legacy, and pleads with her own generation to continue his life's work.

Sophie Parens and Taylor Washington are filmmakers based in Brooklyn, New York. They are passionate about telling stories that celebrate survival, resilience, and inspire positive change. This campaign is especially important to them to tell now, as they see how disconnected their peers have already become from this part of history. Taylor and Sophie believe that in a political climate that encourages xenophobia, we all have a responsibility to raise our voice and fight history from repeating itself.

All of the money raised in this campaign will go to funding the post-production needs essential to finish this film. This includes color correction, sound mix, score, stock footage, final editing, and film festival submission fees. Every single dollar is appreciated!
