Short Summary
Hi everyone! We're two college students who want to make a difference in this world - by helping raise awareness and funds for lesser known causes around the world. Deep is a fourth-year student at the University of Pennsylvania and Hark is a first-year student at Queen's University, Canada. Having lived everywhere from India to the Philippines to Chile, we have seen many adversities globally that we want to do something about.
Meet Zenco: a t-shirt company that makes a difference.
For every t-shirt sold, Zenco will donate 30% of all proceeds (all the money we make, not just profits!) towards the cause specified by you. We plan to support unique causes that are sometimes forgotten, making education as much of a priority as raising money. We want you to join the Zenco family as the first step in many to help make a positive difference in the world around us.

We hope to use the money you donate to support new causes, create more designs and provide more items in our shop, produce new t-shirts, market more effectively, and make sure Zenco moves forward in a sustainable way.
The Impact
We will periodically launch new campaigns to support different global causes. To begin with, we will be raising money for shark finning and curable blindness.
One of Zenco's founders, Hark, is a passionate scuba diver and has deep respect for the ocean (pun intended). He has dived all over Asia and has developed a particular affinity towards sharks. During his dives, he learned about shark finning, the practice of dismembering a shark’s fins and throwing its body, often still alive, back into the ocean. With over 100 million sharks dying every year because of shark finning today, the world's ecosystem is at risk. We are working to raise money for a non-profit, Support Our Sharks, that is raising awareness and trying to end shark finning.
Curable blindness is another issue that is close to our hearts. Millions of people around the world live in darkness due to curable eye diseases that render them blind. Often, these individuals either do not know that the diseases can be cured, or they lack the financial means to have surgery. Our 'Vision' product line raises money for a non-profit, Sankara Eye Foundation, that is able to provide surgeries for those in rural India with curable blindness through operations for $30.
Recently, there have been a lot of new companies that have emerged around the idea of donating a certain amount of money towards a particular goal. With Zenco, we hope to create more of an impact by donating more than double what most of the other companies do (typically ranging from 7-15%) and by approaching a wider spectrum that includes less recognized causes.
