A worldwide market potential, a billion project! Insecticides and medicines have been used for years in the fight against mosquitoes and vector-borne diseases, and yet hundreds of thousands of people still die every year from the effects of mosquito bites. Since pathogens are always developing resistance to conventional drugs, the disease cannot be eradicated for now. Drugs also often cause side effects and pesticides not only kill mosquitoes, they also have serious consequences on the environment.

Progress / Proof
So far, we have successfully prototyped our electronic high-tech mosquito repellent in Europe. Now we are ready to go into mass production in Asia with version 2.0 of our first product. We are also looking into sourcing for a multiple product diversification soon after our first product is successfully launched. The version 1.0 of our ZEROPIC mosquito repellent has already been successfully tested all over the world*, by employees and customers. The field trial results show an efficiency of more than 90%.

Objectives / Future
500’000 USD has to be invested through Investors for development of the first 20’000 products V2.0 and the diversification. The time to market is estimated 4 months from now and we expect to reach breakeven after 1.5 Years after the product launch on 25th April 2018. The maximum financial drawdown from company establishment and until break-even will be 0.4 Million USD. We are calculating with an average sales price of 24 US per piece because of an indirect Go-2-Market approach.
Business Model
The business model is totally scalable and disruptive, as it connects directly with the consumer during the first year until we are able to change to indirect go-2-market approach. The business model is also asset light, because production capacity is outsourced to China, Hong Kong and Thailand. A consumer that wants to purchase a ZEROPIC is able to order online (until the first Distributors are on board in local Asian regions) or at one of our resellers (indirect). The ZEROPIC is engineered by ZEROPIC in Europe and manufactured in Asia. Human and social values play a central role for us. This means that we have a great responsibility to sell the products, which are produced with the utmost care and the highest quality.
The Technology
Atmospheric discharges e.g. tempests are generating electromagnetic fields, which can be detected in advance and over a long distance. Tempests and storms are life-threatening events for mosquitoes. Their survival reflex takes over and the thirst for blood becomes second priority. We will develop a high-tech ZEROPIC modular unit, which simulates electromagnetic impulses of an atmospheric discharge and transmits them to the closer environment. This electromagnetic field, harmless for humans, which is recognized by the allure receptor in the mosquito’s sensillum, creates a safe zone of approximately 2 or even up to 50 meters around the device. Mosquitoes approaching the safe zone immediately recognize the magnetic field as a threat, initiate their natural escape reflex and do not bite anymore. This is how the ZEROPIC modular unit – implanted in the ZEROPIC bracelet (first step) – protects people from mosquito bites. The method of ZEROPIC differs from the already existing devices and apps using ultrasonic as mosquito repellent. Ultrasound has been proven useless to prevent mosquito bites. Ultrasound can be only received by the male mosquitoes which don’t bite. Female, biting mosquitoes, are without auditory senses.
Deal
