What is the mission?
We are raising funds for a documentary and companion history book that aims to bring light to the Zeta Alpha chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Your support will contribute to the production costs, enabling us to create a powerful and thought-provoking account of our illustrious chapter that resonates with audiences.
What do we need? What do you get?
Our goal is to raise $10,000 to complete this project.
The funds raised will be allocated towards covering the production and publication costs of creating a captivating documentary and accompanying history book, ensuring a comprehensive and impactful exploration of the history of ZA.
While we remain committed to completing this project, not reaching our fundraising goal will limit our resources, potentially affecting the scale and quality of the documentary and history book production. We need the help of every brother to complete this project to the standards of Alpha and the quality our great chapter deserves.
What impact will this have?
This documentary will delve deeply into the impact Alpha Phi Alpha has had on the history of the University of Missouri, the state of Missouri, and the nation as a whole.
We have enlisted the help of Author Darrius Jerome Gourdine to help complete this body of work. Brother Gourdine is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha, and has written several books, including a wonderful series that covers the founding of our great fraternity.
What are the risks and challenges we will encounter?
The main risk is further delaying this project. We need to start interviewing our Pearls (Chapter Founders) and as many brothers as possible to capture our chapter's history. Time's not guaranteed, so we need to make this happen now.
How else can you help?
Brothers we sincerely appreciate your financial assistance with this project. It is important to emphasize that no amount is too small. Your contribution, regardless of its size, will help us bring this important task to completion.
In addition to contributing financially you can do the following:
- Contact every ZA brother you know to get them involved.
- Submit photos and videos of your time in ZA to zetaalphadocumentary@gmail.com
- Be available to help with your talents (graphic design, photography, videography, etc)
- Above all...Spread the word!
