Deirdre Smith is a humanitarian and an artist. She inherited her love of music from her mom. She remembers sitting around the piano listening to her mom and aunts sing everything from country to gospel to R&B to folk. Listening to that mix of genres helped create her unique sound. She learned to care about the human condition from both her parents. Their interaction with and compassion for people, taught her how to deal with her own personal ups and downs, but most importantly, how to love!
