<p><span><strong><span>Acting Coach &amp; Director</span></strong></span></p> <p><span>In Toronto Sophie Ann Rooney is coaching actors in the Performance Lab at&nbsp;<span>Acting with Sophie Ann Rooney</span>, having also coached the Lyric School of Acting Vancouver, the&nbsp;<span><span><a type="1" href="http://bilingualacting.com/" target="_blank"><span>Bilingual Acting Workshop New York &amp; Paris</span></a></span></span>&nbsp;and the&nbsp;<span><span><a type="1" href="http://www.aup.edu/" target="_blank"><span>American University of Paris</span></a></span></span>&nbsp;as well as private classes &amp; coachings. 
</span><br /><span>She studied Acting in her youth at Central School of Speech &amp; Drama and Oxford School of Speech &amp; Drama in England. By 18 she was attending a full-time&nbsp;<span>Stanislavski School,</span>Atelier Balanche Salant, in Paris and joined Amy Werba, Lee Strasberg prot&eacute;g&eacute;e, at the Bilingual Acting Workshop. Sophie has been coaching actors for 10 years. She has also studied with Larry Moss, Lori Triolo (Meisner), Valerie Landsburg and Ben Ratner (Chubbuck).&nbsp;</span><br /><br /><span>Sophie studied Directing (BFA) at the International Film School of Paris (EICAR). Sophie&rsquo;s short film &lsquo;Fallen Fighter&rsquo; was picked up by Oscar Contender Chicago International Children&rsquo;s Film Festival and went on to screen at over 20 film festivals around the world. Her most recent film &lsquo;Bollywood Beckons&rsquo; was awarded Best Foreign Film in New York. She is in developemnt of her feature film set to go to camera early 2014.</span></p>
