Garrett began writing his first novel when he was 12 years old. At 16, he discovered lyrical poetry. After living on the West Coast for nearly 20 years, supporting himself with various jobs and writing and studying intensely, he moved to New York City in 2011. In June of 2012, he decided to present his work directly to the public. Through all seasons of the year, he has been reciting his poetry and performing his musical to the public in the streets of New York City.
