I produce works in painting and sculpture.

I was born in the city of Vancouver, Canada. My family kept moving to the fringes of suburbia and I experienced the intersections of urban and rural life throughout my adolescence. I returned to the city as a young man. My early working life was spent in heavy industry, especially on boats. I worked as a deckhand and longshoreman. The labour was intense, but the money and the time off where instrumental in helping me develop my painting. I moved to London in order to study at the Royal College o
