Writer, Director, International Bon Vivant
<p>Gordon is a three time Emmy Award-winning writer (ANIMANIACS!, PINKY & THE BRAIN) and a recipient of a WGA Award for his body of work in animation which includes stints on “The Smurfs”, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” and dozens of other well-known shows He developed the Nickelodeon hit “Jimmy Neutron” and created several successful animated shows. Most recently he was a writer on the Emmy-winning PBS show “WordGirl”. But before his TV career he was one of the late Ellen Stewart’s “babies” as a member of New York’s La Mama Experimental Theater Club and John Vaccaro’s Play-House of The Ridiculous where he shared the stage with such underground stars as Jackie Curtis, Holly Woodlawn, Ondine, Mary Woronov, Neil Flannagan, Penny Arcade and Debra Rush to name just a few. The highlights include being arrested for obscenity in Brussels (along with the entire cast of the recently deceased Tom Murrin’s “Cock Strong”) when a giant phallus extended over the audience and climaxed. Over the years he was privileged to work with and know theater folk like Tom O’Horgan, Wilford Leach, Fernando Arrabal, Wynn Handman, Peter Brook, Gerome Ragni and James Rado. Gordon also starred with Crystal Field in Roslyn Drexler’s Obie Award-winning play “The Writers Opera” and went on to create the Off Off Broadway hit “Voideville”. After moving to Los Angeles and becoming an animation writer, Gordon became involved in theater again directing at The Open Fist Theater and, most recently, in 2009, his play “Fuggedaboudit”, which was written in five days, was produced at The Hudson Theatre. “Missing Dick” took longer. His short film "Keeper" will be playing at festivals this year.</p>
