GenRyu Arts mission is to promote, present and participate in Japanese and Japanese American culture through taiko and other cultural art forms. We are deeply rooted in San Francisco's Japantown and the greater Asian American community. We engage in art-making that merges Japanese taiko, dance, and folk songs with new music, spoken word, and visuals that honor community heritage.
