<div><p class="MsoNormal" style="tab-stops:272.0pt"><span style="font-family:Garamond">A native of Guyana, South America, Gavin Ramoutar is a New York based director and producer.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </span>He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Fordham University. &nbsp;He has worked on films in many regions of the world including the United States, Italy, Guyana, Dominican Republic, Singapore, Japan, and India. &nbsp;</span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Garamond; ">He has produced and directed several short films in Asia including MAY, directed by Wai Ha Ng, (an official selection at the 2010 Clermont Ferrand, and Rotterdam International Film Festivals, among many others), SHE WHO SINS, GIRL, and most recently THE HIGHEST STAKES.<span style="color: rgb(77, 77, 77); ">&nbsp;</span></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="tab-stops:272.0pt"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Garamond; "><span style="color: rgb(77, 77, 77); "><br></span></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="tab-stops:272.0pt"><span style="font-family:Garamond"><meta charset="utf-8">In the past three years, Gavin has also worked as a development assistant with HBO, and Sarah Jessica Parker's Pretty Matches Productions in New York, in addition to crewing on several Hollywood feature films and television documentaries including JUST WRIGHT, PREMIUM RUSH, and NO DOGS LEFT BEHIND.<span style="color: rgb(77, 77, 77); ">&nbsp;&nbsp;</span>He is currently in pre-production on his narrative thesis film, ANTIMAN, and completing postproduction on MIGRANT WORKERS IN SINGAPORE, a short documentary.<span style="color: rgb(77, 77, 77); ">&nbsp;&nbsp;</span>He will receive his MFA degree from New York University Tisch School of Arts in September 2011.<span style="color: rgb(77, 77, 77); ">&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="tab-stops:272.0pt"><span style="font-family:Garamond"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes"><br></span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="tab-stops:272.0pt"><font class="Apple-style-span" face="Garamond"><br></font></p> <!--EndFragment--></div>
