Hesed is a Hebrew word with many meanings: kindness, mercy, affection to people and God; piety; lovely appearance; redemption from enemies, troubles, and sin; preservation of life from death. Loyalty is perhaps a good English equivalent. Or the obligation of one to another for the sake of their loving relationship and for no other reason. That’s what we try to be about. Sometimes we even succeed.
