Annette Beatrice

New York, New York, United States

Hi my name is Trouble

<p>Can I be honest? I hate talking about myself so for the purpose of this brief introduction I will call myself Annette.&nbsp; Annette had an epiphany at the tender age of seven to start writing a diary so that one day someone would read it (not really sure if this is still the case since she&rsquo;s been in some really dark places). She would deliberately get in trouble in school just so that she would have something to write about. This developed into writing short stories with horrific drawings (which she still has). In her later years she would experiment with poetry ( I was never good at sharing). &nbsp; After moving to New York and having some really unkind times her calling came to her on the corner of 15th and 7 Ave. She discovered she was recklessly in love with writing. No matter how hard she tried to stay away &ndash; writing kept on coming back and made her grow in ways she thought were impossible. She sought to produce, write, direct, and star in her first short film in the summer of 2009 with no prior experience. She had no idea what final draft was but taught herself thru Google. Since then she has written over 20 shorts (5 of them produced and won writing competitions) and several feature scripts. She is on track to improve herself in the craft of writing at Brooklyn college to obtain her film degree. She often laughs at people when they say writing is easy. She simply says &ldquo;Writing is painful-I just happen to enjoy self abuse&rdquo;. She loves more than anything to yank all her hair out while writing scripts. Life has been her guidance in her writing and she wants to disrupt normality in subjects that matter.&nbsp; Her goal is to be able to shatter the silence on these subjects and be the voice for people who want to live free.</p>
