Founder of DogsAhoy

A Dot Com and a Dream

I have a degree from UCONN (go Huskies!), and an MBA from CCSU - which I earned while working full-time and with two (I now have 3) very young kids at home.

One of the first companies I worked at after college was a start-up dot-com that eventually went public in the late 1990's called Cyberian Outpost. (The cool place to shop for computer stuff!) I was there early (employee #17) and it was a ton of fun!

I've been pretty much addicted to e-commerce marketing and start-ups ever since, but haven't found any company that compared to the energy of those early days at Outpost.

Perhaps this 'seeking' led to starting my own online store 2007 called BoatNameGear.com, and eventually quitting my day job to run it full-time 3 years ago.

Boats and Dogs

After running a store with personalized products for boaters (BoatNameGear) for several years, a frequent request I've had from customers has been to make products for dogs. So, I've started with a few products, but now I want to launch a full online store the right way. With an easy-to-use design, and full of products you'll love - both personalized and non-personalized. With products for dogs, and for their people. The best part of this venture will be helping some dogs in need along the way.

With your investment and my experience, DogsAhoy will be profitable from day-one, which will allow me to donate more money to rescue animals than I ever could on my own.

THANK YOU for considering a contribution to this project and making this dream a reality for me and my family!
