Action for the sake of Action
<p>Zane J.S. Johnson studied English literature and music composition at the University of Virginia, where he received grants to shoot his first feature-length film in southern India. Entitled Mrigendrah, this was an experimental documentary and travelogue, and was completed in 2006.</p> <p>After graduating, Zane moved to Kyoto, Japan, where he lived for the next three years, and where he completed his first narrative feature The Olden Days Are Now, a suspense drama based on Japanese folklore and ghost stories. </p> <p><br />Returning to the United States in 2009, Zane moved to New York, where he produced a number of music videos and experimental shorts before enrolling as a graduate student at the California Institute of the Arts in Los Angeles, where he currently resides. <br /><br /></p>
