I grew up in a blue-collar town and was handed blue-collar aspirations, but ended up being a bit too creative for a 9-5. I ended up going to a prestigious school for writing. I like writing, and am pretty darn good at it, but I like inventing, and collaborating, and being on a film set just as much. It's hard to fit it all in. Working in practical fx kinda makes it all happen, and being able to put my vision to work on screen is the greatest. And, I like to talk about myself...
