Bio

Douglas A. Cunningham is an independent filmmaker and film historian who teaches film studies and humanities at a variety of universities in the Intermountain West. He is book editor of, and author of two essays for, THE SAN FRANCISCO OF ALFRED HITCHCOCK'S VERTIGO: PLACE, PILGRIMAGE, AND COMMEMORATION (Scarecrow, 2011). He also produced and directed LISTEN, DARKLING, a short fiction film that played at festivals in 2015 and 2016. He earned his Ph.D. in Film Studies from U.C. Berkeley in 2009.
