Ruth Fowler is a British-born Los Angeles and London based author, screenwriter and journalist, who first came to media attention after writing several articles for The Village Voice as "Mimi". Fowler holds a first-class Honors Bachelor's degree in English Literature and a Master's degree in American literature from King's College, Cambridge. She used to be a stripper in Flash Dancers and Scores, wrote a memoir based upon her experience, and now lives in Venice.
