<p>I&#8217;m the supervising producer &amp; co-writer of Fruit of the Tree.</p> <p>An adult educator for 40 years &amp; a social activist all my life, my focus has been the rights of women, children, minorities &amp; the poor, &amp; ensuring access to community resources for marginalized groups. I founded &amp; ran a number of community organizations, among them a women&#8217;s health center, a farm worker self-help organization, &amp; a training center for Spanish-speaking early childhood educators.</p> <p>I&#8217;m a mother, step-mother, foster mother &amp; grandma. I speak 4 languages &amp; have worked in several countries.</p> <p>My film-making goal is to address important social issues in nuanced &amp; intriguing ways that enlighten as they entertain.
