Sohrab Mirmontazeri is the Producer and Director of the Award Winning short film "The Beautiful Wind" which won the Audience Choice Award in 2005 from the New York International Film Festival. In 2007 Mirmontazeri was hired to direct "The Camel Wars", an $8 Mil. epic Iraq-war film to be shot in Morocco. Ten months into production budget on the indie flick raised to a whopping $42 Mil. and the young 21-year old director was replaced by legendary Die Hard director, John McTiernan. Several years later and after numerous shorts, commercials and music videos, Mirmontazeri has returned to retake the throne as a true independent filmmaker. "Blue Door", a film he Produced, Edited and Directed announced a picture-lock on Feb 18th 2011. "It's been a journey of one year and six months, from the films shoot date to the day we locked the edit and placed the music. Now it's time to finish the film in sound design, color, and mastering," says the now, mildly bearded 26-year old Mirmontazeri.
