I was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer 11 years ago. It had metastasized to my liver. Despite the incredibly frightening information about ovarian cancer on the Internet, the eulogies from my nearest and dearest, I always knew I would make it. I had 21 very aggressive chemo treatments, mixed in with many complications. I am the luckiest lady in the world. I truly enjoy defying medical statistics AND being the poster child for Stanford’s cancer center.
