<p>Muiz is a visual communicator whose innovations in Arabic aesthetics have won him recognition by some of the world’s most iconic designers. His work evolves an experimental visual language born from the principles of classical Islamic art and philosophies which reflect the complex, cultural semiotics and geopolitics of the modern Arab world. <br /><br />Muiz is currently developing two ground-breaking bi-lingual typefaces scheduled for exclusive licensing with the most esteemed type foundries in the world, Dalton Maag of London and FontShop International of Berlin.<br /><br />He recently art directed and designed the Arabic and English editions of the critically acclaimed, Reflections on Islamic Art – which collects the writings of 27 of the world's leading poets, mathematicians, scientists, philosophers – for the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha, published worldwide by Bloomsbury and Bloomsbury Qatar. His approach to bi-lingual publication design has been regarded as exemplary by Huda Smitshuijzen Abifarès of the Khatt Foundation and others, particularly the delicate balance of Arabic and Latin aesthetics and a respect for traditional Middle-Eastern, philosophical traditions.<br /><br />Muiz has also launched a critically acclaimed magazine, branded national and international arts organisations and festivals and been recognised in digital and print journals across the globe. He currently works as art director for the internationally renowned Palestine Festival of Literature and is developing programmes to help foster creative talent, academically and professionally, from occupied Palestine.</p>
