Susan Steinberg

London, United Kingdom

Emmy award-winning director from New York

I was born in Chicago, but lived in New York most of my life. I'm best known for my work on PBS series American Masters and the documentaries I made on Paul Simon, Edward R. Murrow and the founder of Atlantic Records, Ahmet Ertegun. I moved to London in 2004, and four years a go I set out to make a collective biography celebrating the incredible women I've known. The result is a film about ten extraordinary artists: Mirrors to Windows: The Artist as Woman.
