The film was award the Jury Prize for Short Film at the 2009 International Health Film Festival in Greece.
I have been a two time finalist in the International Documentary Challenge. “Ghosts” (with Micah Stansell and Elizabeth Strickler) was a finalist in 2009 winning Best Soundtrack and “Grounded By Reality” (co-produced with Elizabeth Strickler) was the winner of the 2010 American Documentary/POV award. Both films screened as part of the Hot Docs International Film Festival in Toronto. In 2009 I completed “The Culinary Browns”—a mid-length documentary on my family history that premieres in the 2010 Provincetown International Film Festival.
In January 2010, I enrolled in the first Werner Herzog Rogue Film School where I learned how to pick a lock and forge necessary documents. I will add this knowledge to my other unusual skills: neutering cats, propagating heaths and heathers, vegan cooking, and clamming with my feet. I am an active member of Women in Film Atlanta , the International Documentary Association and the College Art Association.
