<p>Mari Meade Montoya <span>was born in Califronia. She then moved to Louisiana and trained at Haller Casasic Ballet and NOCCA (New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts). She graduated from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts with a degree in dance on full scholarship. After graduating, she promptly moved to New York City upon recieeivng the Kenan Fellowship at Lincoln Center Institute. When she's not thinking about the forbidden love affairs of ants, duplicitous high-society ladies adorned with frilly cuffs, or human styles of flirtation, she can be found working as Development Associate at Dance New Amsterdam. She hates mayonnaise and styrofoam but loves choreographing and shoving her bathing-suit-clad company in the spotlight its members secretly yearn for.</span></p>
