Germinating Culture in Grand Rapids Since 2011

Emily first became interested in fermented foods in January of 2011 when she received a kombucha culture from a friend. She fell head-over-heels in love with fermentation and became a devoted learner. After suffering from severe stomach aches for months, she started visiting a naturopath, Micah McLaughlin who helped her overcome her digestive distress. Emily bartered with Micah for his services, and Micah urged her to sell her kombucha. Bloom Ferments kombucha is now sold in over 50 locations.
