<p>Deana J. Becker is from Washington, D.C., where she began her entertainment career at the Studio Theater Acting Conservatory. After staring in a touring production of the Aids education drama <em>Secrets, </em>Deana made the move to New York City where she was accepted into the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. After acting school, Deana went on to act in Television, Film, Commercials and in several Off- Broadway productions.</p> <p>The past two years at CSUN have been extremely productive for Deana. She has maintained a position on the Deanʼs list with a current GPA of 3.78 and was awarded the Scott M. Weiss Memorial Scholarship in 2011 and the Women in Film Scholarship in 2012. Deana is in the Cinematography option but she is also proficient at Producing, Directing, and Screenwriting. Deana has also been a member of the Screen Actors Guild since 1994 and is a Friend of the ASC. She is currently a production intern for a top rated talk show!</p> <p>While at CSUN Deana has had her photography work featured in the West Gallery Exhibit entitled “Play”. Film credits include the short films</p> <p>“Sisters” (Producer, Co-Writer), “One Way Out”( Screenwriter), “ToothTroubles” (Cinematographer, Co-Writer, Director, Camera Operator) and the culminating film for the Moises Perez Cinematography 2012 Workshop</p> <p>“Shutterbug” (Screenwriter, Director, and Cinematographer).</p> <p>In addition to a career in the entertainment industry, Deana also has a corporate background. Before going back to school to pursue her dreams in film production, Deana was an Account Executive in the Business Consulting Practice of Arthur Andersen. In her free time, Deana enjoys adventure travel, cooking, dancing and Scuba diving. She has volunteered as an advocate to assist parents in obtaining services for their special needs children since 2008. Deana also speaks Danish and is brushing up on her Spanish!</p>
