About Us
Rural Southern Africa changed the life of one graduate student in the summer of 2014. During her internship studying small-scale sustainability projects, she expected to see extreme poverty. She expected to hear hopeful cries for help. She expected to feel overwhelmed by the inequity in developing nations. In fact, she did experience all of these things. But what she didn’t expect to experience was the profound connection that she was more similar than different to rural villagers.
