Karl's film "Bill’s Seat" won BEST SHORT FILM at the 2003 St. Louis International Film Festival. It was screened at a SlamDunk showcase at the 2002 Cannes Film Festival. Karl's film, "Elysian Fields" won BEST SHORT FILM at the Worldfest Houston. His screenplay, "The Hunters" was a 2007 Nicholl Fellowship Semifinalist. In addition to directing, Karl has worked as a storyboard artist for MARTIN SCORSESE, FRANCIS FORD COPPOLA, RIDLEY SCOTT and many others. He is originally from Austin, Texas.
