Anne is freelance writer and producer living in Chicago, and a former film professor at Northwestern University in Qatar, where the majority of her students were 17-22 year-old women from the Gulf. Forming close connections with young Arab, Muslim, and Khaleeji women over the past four years piqued Anne’s interest in women’s history in the Gulf—whilst increasing her waistline with their delicious offerings of homemade fatayer and legaaimat.
