Everyone's story is equally important but we need to share the stories of those who's voice are rarely heard. Bringing awareness to lives often neglected by the public's attention Fighting For Futures is an organization of creative individuals who use the arts to raise awareness and better the lives of those in need.  What began as a backpacking adventure to Cambodia in January of 2009, global trekker feleciacruz<a href="http://www.feleciacruz.com/" style="color: rgb(255, 0, 87); text-decoration: none; "> </a>soon found her purpose in a twelve year old bookseller named Chanty. After their initial connection they quickly formed a friendship. The two sold books, visited museums, learned how to capture the world in photographs. They also discussed Chanty's education, or lack thereof.  While in New York in February of 2009, feleciacruz cofounded Fighting For Futures with Tammy Warner under the belief that something could be done to provide Chanty enough money to afford a proper education. For the next six months Fighting For Futures threw fundraising events in support of the arts. By July of 2009 they reached the donation goal to not only place Chanty in school but also supply her the necessary tools to accomplish this. With sights beyond Chanty the following five months proved to give Fighting For Futures plenty of opportunities to make a lasting impact. They renovated the Krang Thmey village school's learning center, a space once occupied by feces and debris. Also, the school needed a bathroom -- which was soon built. When the learning center opened a concert was orchestrated for the village's enjoyment.  The children were given the opportunity to attend photography classes. One class took place in the city and another further into the countryside to insure accessibility to creative expression.  Since, Fighting For Futures has helped donate towards No Matter Where's mission to Fiji in 2009. Also, the organization hosted shows in New York City displaying the children's photography. Through growing archives of multimedia sources, Fighting For Futures has helped conduct interviews to raise awareness for social issues often ignored by society.  Fighting For Futures has also produced two musical projects, the Worldwide Mixtape and Fighting For Futures For the Love.
