<p class="p1"><span style="font-size: medium;">Lindsey Lollie</span><span> was born and raised in Altadena, California. She started taking modern dance classes with Liz Hoefner at Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy and continued to study dance at CalArts. While at Calarts She had the opportunity to study with Danielle Agami and perform repertoire from Ohad Naharin's "Humus" and Echad Mi Yodea". She also studied with Kathleen Fischer and learned Trisha Brown's Set and Reset/Reset. She has performed in many pieces of Natalie Metzger's, recipient of Emerging Choreographer Award from the Harc Foundation for her piece, "Sacrament". Lindsey's training consists of Limón, Horton, Release, Improvisation and the Forsythe technologies. She is also experienced in Ohad Naharin repertoire and Gaga technique. </span></p> <p class="p1"><br /><span>While dancing extensively for other artists, Lindsey has been in the practice of choreographing her own work and expanding her range of expression. Her piece “Pro” was featured at the Redcat Theater as part of the Next Dance Company 2012. Her solo, “The Next Step Is”, was chosen to be performed at ACDFA and the Pasadena Dance Festival Choreographer’s Showcase. This was also adapted into a film that was accepted to be shown at the Calarts Film/Video Showcase and CEMEC Festival in San Diego. Lindsey has created work for art galleries, site specific pieces and films. She has presented "On The Subject of Freedom" with CircuitDebris for the past four years, which has been performed for Human Rights Day, The Arts In One World Conference and the New Works Festival. </span></p> <p> </p> <p class="p1">Lindsey is currently seeking collaborations with other artists and working on her own projects. She will be taking part in a visual arts/movement project of choreographer, Hassan Christopher. She is currently a participant in <em>The Laura Project, </em>led by Zari Wigfall,<em> </em>an ongoing project that will soon be able to reach out to people who have experienced trauma and who are trying to rebuild themselves physically and mentally after overcoming incredible obstacles. Lindsey will be teaching classes at Lineage Dance Studio in Pasadena while teaching her own choreography to dancers. <br /> </p>
