She studied Biology &amp; Philosophy at Georgia State University. She is the host of BlogTalk radio show&nbsp;</span><a title="" href="http://my.blogtalkradio.com/bookreads" target="_blank">Book Reads</a><span>, where she interviews writers of fictional works and allows them share live excerpts of their works. She is very active in several local and national writing &amp; critique groups and is an editorial writer for&nbsp;</span><a title="" href="http://blackliteraturemagazine.net/blackliteraturemagazine/" target="_blank">Black Literature Magazine</a><span>. She has been an avid writer and reader since she was a young child and her favorite writers include (but are not limited to) Toni Morrison, Octavia Butler, Robert Jordan, Richard Wright, Janet Fitch, Steven Barnes, Tannanarive Due, Nalo Hopkinson, John Steinbeck, Zora Neale Hurston, Daniel Quinn,Chinua Achebe, JRR Tolkien, Isabel Allende, JK Rowling, Ayn Rand, Dean Koontz, Sistah Souljah and too many more to name! In her spare time besides reading, she enjoys healthy cooking, trying foods of different cultures, working to help conserve nature and wildlife, studying nearly extinct languages, etymology, studying evolutionary Botany, caring for her collection of carnivorous plants and of course, writing. Her first novel, The Elements Book I, the first installment in a Fantasy series, will be released in 2013, with your help!</span></p>
