I'm a 24 year old student at the Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. My primary concentration is in Marketing, with a double concentration in Management, and I'm going to minor in Spanish.

The world has become so intercultural and the globalization of markets is greater than it has ever been before. Because of this, it is essential that a person not only have good communication skills for his or her own culture, but for others as well if we, as a nation, are going to continue doing business abroad. We also need to have an understanding about and knowledge of other cultures customs, norms, and ways of interacting and thinking.

Because I have been taking 12 or more credit hours, plus working 20-30 hours per week during school, usually with 2 jobs during the summer, I haven't really had the time to explore. I have an extreme amount of debt due to loans for tuition, and I can't really afford to spend any extra money on travel.

This is why I am raising money. I want to take myself and 3 other students a trip across South America for 3 months from May 20th, 2013 to August 20th, 2013 (approximate dates). The students I will select will be based on their work schedule, grades, interest in Spanish-speaking cultures, and desire to do good.
