Shirlyn is a M.F.A. candidate at New York University Tisch School of the Arts, Asia. Her student documentary screened at the Palm Springs Int'l Short Film Festival. She won achievement awards from Singapore Short Film Awards and First Run Film Festival Asia. Most recently she became the Jameson First Shot US winner 2013. Shirlyn is a subscriber of the Jim Henson's life philosophies and an amateur muppet maker, sake wine brewer, and ukulele player. She also has a thing for Hippos.
