Blank Space is a short film raising awareness about how women immediately deal with miscarriage on a psychological level.
The film follows a middle aged woman, Isobel, as she experiences the first 24 hours after losing her child. It illustrates how relationships with friends, family and her partner are put under strain and the feeling of isolation. This film also targets the way in which mothers who have experienced pregnancy loss feel guilty, ashamed and depressed. This film will attempt to normalise verbalising feelings about miscarriage to encourage support for mothers who have recently lost a child.
