Everybody has a story

A New York City detective, Jimmy O’Neill, finds solace, excitement and a new career in Fort Worth, Texas after he has a run in with a NYC councilman, Joe Esposito and the mafia back in NY. When it seems like his captain and the NYPD isn’t going to back him but makes it seem as if it’s his fault, Jimmy decides to take a leave of absence rather than to write a letter of apology to Esposito. Jimmy isn’t totally out of the woods because he was on another small time stakeout while he and his NYPD Det. partner Marty see Joe Esposito roughing up a young girl while coming out of a hotel. She was obviously new to the lifestyle Esposito had planned for her. When Jimmy approached Esposito to get stop, Esposoito mistook Jimmy for a push over and gets knocked out by this hot headed detective. After many phone calls from his uncle Charlie telling him, he knows where Hoffa is, Jimmy takes a long leave of absence from the force and goes on a vacation down to Ft. Worth, TX. He eventually recruits his NYPD partner, Marty, and together they bring their New York, in your face, ways to the laid back streets of Cow Town. While here, they open up a Private Investigation business to help Jimmy’s ailing uncle Charlie with his Bail Bonds business bringing down the skips. Eventually, the mob comes to Texas, looking for Jimmy. A meeting is set up with Joe Esposito and the rest of his boys to have a “sitdown”. It turns out that it’s a set up to whack Jimmy. However, Jimmy realized the impact he’s made on Texans and relationships he’s developed when the calvary (Texans) arrives to save the day and has a showdown between the two factions. Texans call it, “We’re just lookin’ out for one of our own”. Jimmy’s struggle though from now on, is, Do I really want to leave NY for good.
