The animated and charismatic DeForest Mapp has always been a standout individual who is not afraid of a challenge. Acting, music, and writing have all been a part of DeForest's life since the age of 6. A former drum major at the prestigious I.C. Norcom High School, DeForest would enroll at Tennessee State University (majoring in Architectural Engineering), and perform in the marching band in front of thousands every Saturday hitting all the right notes on his trumpet. Two separate encounters in college with the legendary Maurice and Gregory Hines would inspire DeForest to pursue acting professionally. Mapp stars in the independent film "16 Summers" with Nick Cannon. Some of DeForest's other credits include Las Vegas, The Big Empty, Days of Our Lives, and Barbershop The Series. DeForest Mapp currently has a screenplay entitled "The Interns" which is in development.

DeForest also attended Los Angeles City College to hone skills at a film director.
