JP Vergne is an award winning scholar and author born in France in 1983. He has published two books on the history of piracy and capitalism (e.g. 'The Pirate Organization' @Harvard Publishing in 2013). In the past, he worked with math-rock band 'Chevreuil' to create a soundtrack, and produced the animation film 'What is the pirate organization?' His work has been featured in the media on dozens of occasions (print, web, TV), and JP has given talks at leading international events such as TEDx.
