Lakiyra "Oompa" Williams is a Roxbury-born-and-based Hip-Hop artist and Spoken word poet with a knack for lyricism and story-telling. The child of a southern black woman raised in the 30s, she is heavily inspired by the sounds of motown and funk. The way that R&B and Hip-Hop play together on her music reminds us of how true to being a 90s baby she is. Oompa is working on her first full-length audio and visual album slated to be released in May 2016.
