<p>Roger and Mental-Rev Productions began scraping dimes together to make films from the streets of protest actions across the country in late 2002, during the zenith of the revitalized Anti-War Movement.</p> <p>Not enamored with the myth of objectivity, nor the appeal of celebrity, Roger has been free to deeply engage everyday people on the powerful social issues affecting their lives. Roger has filmed protests, police attacks, glimpses of everyday life, and hundreds of interviews across America, South West Asia and North Africa from 2002 to the present. Roger’s editing style is a frenetic one which strives to engage the audience emotionally and make them feel as they are part of the action on the screen.</p> <p>Roger grew up and began making films in the Rust Belt of Ohio before fleeing to San Francisco in 2006. Roger has Filmed, Directed and/or Edited 12 short documentaries, narrative-realist films and music videos.</p> <p>Currently Roger is working as Director or Co-Director on 3 feature length documentaries and is in the final stages of editing <em>Witness a Peace Movement</em>: a Documentary From the Streets of the U.S. Anti-War Movement.</p> <p>Some of his work has been seen in the Athens International Film and Video Festival, the Twin Rivers Media Festival, the Minneapolis Film Festival, the Take Back Democracy Film Festival and the Arab Film Festival in San Francisco, as well as on Free Speech TV and the television news show Democracy Now. Roger has personally screened his work in theaters, cafes, class rooms and living rooms across the United States.</p>
