Vann Chow was born in Hong Kong. She graduated with honors from Carnegie Mellon University with a Chemical Engineering degree and has lived and worked as a scientist in three continents by age twenty eight. Her life experience has granted her unique insights into interactions between different cultures which inspired her many novels. Oscar Wilde, William Somerset Maugham and Alain De Botton are her favorite authors.
