James Wheale
Bristol, United Kingdom
I am the Director and Founder of Understory. I'm a poet and food artist from Bristol.
I am very passionate about stories, ethics and, of course, flavour. I am a performance poet, I won the Leeds Slam championship in 2010, Edinburgh Fringe Tea Fueled Slam 2012 and the popshot & AITU competion 2012. I had a collection published, Maskboy, which then led to me writing randomly enough for interactive theatrical street games. I wrote and directed 2.8 Hours Later, the world's largest street game, for 2 years before pursuing my love of food as Understory with Arts Council support.
