Claire Lorenzo has been creating hand-cut collages for nearly a decade. Her material draws on old, yellowing pages from paperback books, vintage maps, magazines, black and white photographs, found postcards, and forgotten letters. Her art reappropriates advertisements from 1950s-80s Life magazines in order to expose the rampant misogyny in American consumer culture.
