I've long been fascinated by the unconscious and how it appears in art. Years ago while I was living in the island city of Alameda CA, a mysterious figure started appearing in my paintings. Then one day on the way to work, in a flash, words came to me connected with that figure. It was the beginning of an ongoing graphic narrative: Indigo Animal. I also am a practicing psychotherapist in Oakland, CA and give workshops in finding one's own personal spirit animal.
