Michael Sutphin has been involved in performance arts from a young age, having directed his first theatre show in his senior year of High School. Now a graduate of NYU's Tisch school of that arts, Michael has been directing films since 2009 and his most recent film Screamer, a short dramatic piece about a young boy who's curiousity pulls him into the dark and twisted underbelly of a local performer's life, currently under consideration from many festivals both national and international. He has been working on the script for Sun City for over a year, working with professors at NYU to craft a unique, entertaining and multi-layered short script. Michael believes that the best way to learn how to make a movie is by actually making them and has served on over 25 student sets in a variety of positions ranging from Gaffer, to Assistant Director to Production Manager when not directing his own work.
