<p class="MsoNormal">Lee Welles,&nbsp; founder and creative director of The Daisyworld Project, is the author of the award-winning Gaia Girls book series (Chelsea Green Publishing). Her school presentation for ages 8-24 focus on living sustainably, reading, writing and the hero’s journey. Ms. Welles is currently teaching creative writing, yoga, and movement classes at 171 Cedar Arts Center in Corning, NY and is a contributing writer to Gannet. Lee often has the opportunity to combine her literary adventures with her previous career as a fitness and wellness entrepreneur in entertaining presentations and keynote addresses to <span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp;</span>public and private organizations. In addition, Lee is also an elected official, serving as a councilman and Corning, NY's first woman Deputy Mayor. (Although, she thinks it is much more note-worthy, to be Corning's first <u>tap dancing</u> deputy mayor!)</p>
