Fran Antmann is a documentary photographer, writer and educator who works extensively with indigenous communities in Latin America and the Canadian Arctic.

For over thirty years Fran Antmann has been documenting the lives and culture of Maya, Andean, Inuit and Dene indigenous people – in Guatemala, Peru, the Canadian Arctic and Baffin Island. She teaches photography at Baruch College, CUNY and is photo editor of their award winning online publication “Dollars and Sense.” She has received grants from the Ford, Puffin and J. Paul Getty Foundations. She was a Fulbright scholar in Peru and was awarded five NYS Foundation for the Arts fellowships.
