HEWMAN

HEWMAN is a collaborative collective of artists who bring dance where it has never been before.

Each of HEWMAN's projects is an interaction between dance and another medium; is created through a collaborative and open-ended process; is presented in a space where dance is not the normal fare; integrates an audience population that is not part of NYC's regular dance community; makes the viewers as crucial to the environment as the performers; and emphasizes the similarity between the performers and the viewers, not the difference, because the human body is all people's instrument for living.
