Para-Dice is a work that navigates racial politics/colonialism thrusting together first-world versus third-world narratives to investigate alterity.

Patricia Hoffbauer, a Brazilian-born New York dance artist, has been creating performances since 1987. Her “Para-Dice” was presented by Danspace Project in 2010/2013, she was a 2015 Gibney Dance DIP artist where her “Dances for Intimate Spaces and Friendly People” premiered with 14 performers. She taught at Hunter College/Princeton University, and now teaches at NYU's Tisch Open Arts. A founding member of Yvonne Rainer's "Raindears," her new work featured here premieres this June at La MaMa.
